Rocky River – Larkhaven 100kV Transmission Line

After years of planning and preliminary work, we will begin construction of a new transmission line in October 2025.

This new transmission line will connect two of our existing substations in the southern Cabarrus County/eastern Mecklenburg County area, significantly improving the overall reliability and resiliency of the electrical grid for nearly 20,000 members in Stanly, Cabarrus, and Mecklenburg counties. This project is a crucial component of our ongoing commitment to delivering safe, reliable, and efficient power to our members.
