Ways We Are Here to Serve You

Union Power remains committed to supporting our members and the communities we serve—whether that’s providing the safe and reliable power our members count on, exceptional customer
service, or access to helpful tools, information, and resources—we’re here to help our members in every way that we can. Our concern for the community has never been more important than over the past few months, as we have all faced a time of unprecedented challenges and are working together to overcome them.

Recognizing that many in our community may be facing financial hardships due to the impact of the pandemic, we have taken several measures to help lessen the strain on those who have been affected. To lend a helping hand to our members during this extremely difficult time, as of March 13, Union Power suspended all disconnections for nonpayment and is not charging late fees or penalties. In addition, we are returning $3.48 million in capital credit refunds three months ahead of schedule to help mitigate the financial impact of COVID-19.

We’ve compiled a list of local and federal assistance programs that may be able to assist members with paying their bills and other resources. If you haven’t explored these options before, we encourage you to visit our website at to see if they are a good fit for your needs. Also, Union Power offers everyday tools such as our energy savings calculators, online energy audits, and usage alerts to make managing your energy use and budgeting easier.

Members who continue to experience hardship are encouraged to contact us at 704-289-3145 so we can work together to further resolve your individual circumstances. Our customer service representatives are here to assist you Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. You can also access our free and easy-to-use online or mobile app services at your convenience.

Thank you to each of our members for your support, kindness, and patience as we’ve worked through the changing COVID-19 environment. We’re in this together, and the cooperative difference has continued to shine through. We are grateful to serve each and every one of you, and we’re here for you!
