Important Update:New Number, Same Reliable Alerts

On July 1, members who have signed up to receive account alerts through text will notice
a new number. Instead of using a short code, members will now receive text messages
from 704-289-3146.
Just like the previous short code, this new number will be used to communicate with
our members and provide important information and notifications, such as payment
confirmations, past due notifications, profile updates and changes, daily usage reports,
and more. We advise members to save this new number as UPC Account Alerts in their
phone as a contact.

Please note: This number is not for reporting outages; it is only
for members who have signed up to receive account alerts.
Members experiencing an outage can report it by calling
or texting “OUT” to our outage number, 1-800-794-4423.
This change is part of proactive security measures to protect
you from spam and fraudulent messages, ensuring your
experience remains safe and reliable.
