Granting Big Dreams
August 1, 2025
Continuing to make a powerful impact, the Union Power Charitable Foundation (UPCF) recently awarded three UPCF grants to Common Heart, HealthQuest, and Atrium Health Hospice & Palliative Care. Awarding these grants enables UPCF to directly support its mission of providing financial assistance to local nonprofit organizations, and in turn, positively impacting people in our communities.
Common Heart
Common Heart is a small nonprofit organization dedicated to creating a revolution of kindness by delivering groceries and hope to its community. Their goal each day is to eradicate food insecurity and eliminate generational poverty. Executive Director Keith Adams shared, “This will make a huge difference in helping us serve even more in our community.” The grant provided helps Common Heart with this mission.
HealthQuest
HealthQuest of Union County is dedicated to improving the health of its community through their mission of assisting those who cannot afford prescription medications. Because of the grant provided by UPCF, HealthQuest is able to specifically support their diabetic clients and provide prescription supplies they may need, such as continuous glucose monitors, diabetic testing supplies, insulin, and more.
Atrium Health Hospice & Palliative Care
Atrium Health Hospice & Palliative Care in Union County affirms the beauty of life by providing compassionate and holistic care to individuals and their loved ones who are living with a life-limiting illness. With the grant provided by UPCF, Atrium Health Hospice & Palliative Care can offer care and/or room and board to patients who require financial assistance for their services.
We are pleased to recognize organizations that engage, encourage, and empower the communities we serve. UPCF remains committed to supporting our local communities through these strategic partnerships. For more information on how you can give or apply for a grant, visit upcf.org.
