Electric Vehicles

From saving you money to helping protect the environment, electric vehicles offer many advantages over their gasoline-powered counterparts. And with a wide range of models now available, they are becoming increasingly affordable and easy to drive, no matter what size or style of car you prefer.

As electric vehicles continue to grow in popularity, there are a number of programs in place to help make owning an EV convenient and budget-friendly.

Federal Tax Credit Nissan LEAF Rebate
The federal government currently offers a tax credit for qualifying new electric vehicle purchases. Credits vary based on the size of the vehicle and its battery capacity, and will be phased out for each manufacturer once 200,000 qualifying EVs have been sold in the U.S. by that manufacturer.

Touchstone Energy cooperative members and employees can receive a rebate on the Nissan LEAF through July 1, 2019. Eligible buyers can receive a $3,500 purchase rebate on the 40 kWh, 100% Electric Nissan LEAF or a $2,500 rebate on the newly introduced 226 mile range, 62 kWh, ePlus model, in addition to potential federal tax incentives. Bring this Electric Vehicle Rebate Form, along with your monthly electric bill, to your participating Nissan dealership to obtain this limited-time offer.
